Just got a letter from Qantas apologising for cancelling our flight. Included with the letter was an $800 gift voucher. I think that is pretty awesome. Great customer service. Well done Qantas. I’m so glad we spent a few extra dollars and flew Qantas. They sorted us with a decent hotel, food vouchers and an $800 travel voucher when we got home?

They didn’t mess around either we got this only a couple of days after our trip. They even express posted it to us. This is great customer service.

If you know beer you are jealous.

So now we are safely back in Australia. Maybe someone can share their story of being detained by the Department of Homeland Security.

Qantas has cancelled our flight so now we are stuck at a Holiday Inn at JFK. Made it to the bar at least. Brooklyn lager on tap so I know what I’m doing.

Had a great time here. Lots of great beer and food. I even went to an organic vegan restaurant and enjoyed it. Saw the sites and walked around a huge party of the city. It’s been fun but we are looking forward to NY.
